Coach Mike Kern was always involved in football even if he never played in high school or college. He helped manage the football team in high school (Baltimore, Maryland) and went on to be a student manager at Florida State. Upon graduation as a media student at Florida State he migrated to Atlanta interning at a few production companies while meeting his future wife in the area.

Around this time, his future wife's Uncle Fonz took over as head coach of one of the premiere high schools in the Atlanta metro area. Looking to fill his staff, he decided to give Coach Mike Kern a shot as a video coordinator and offensive analyst.

After impressing with a completely revamped offense that took the Atlanta high school curcuit by storm and winning a state title in his second year, Coach Kern received an offer to become the offensive coordinator at Mars Hills University in nearby North Carolina. Success there led to an offer from Valdosta State. He led an potent offense there to a D2 National Championship.

Now he has been offered and accepted a job to be the OC at Kennesaw State.

Coach Mike Kern's style is a mix of Air Raid and power football varying from 5 wide sets to 3 TE sets. His long-term goal is to become a Head Coach of a Power 4 Conference Team and winning a National Title. His College Football 25 journey starts just outside Atlanta in Kennesaw, Georgia.
